BACKGROUND
Lying in the peninsula that comprises Luzon island's southeast arm, Bicol Region's famous landmark is Mayon Volcano, the Philippine version of Japan's Mt. Fuji -- a perfect cone rising in all splendor. The main city of Legazpi, where Mayon's beauty can be seen, is a 12-hour trip from Manila. Aside from the famed Mayon, Mt. Isarog in Camarines Sur is a famous mountain, replete with various flora and fauna, as well as numerous waterfalls. Other mountains include Mt. Asog, Mt. Labo, and Mt. Bulusan, which has active volcanic activity. Bicolanos are known to have a taste for 'hot' foods like chili and peppers; their mountains are also 'hot', with Mayon being the most active volcano in the country. At present, climbing in Bulusan is not allowed, with its most recent eruption in 2007.

"Itenerary"

Day 1 :
TIWI ALBAY. we can shop for the best pottery and clay/ceramic craftmanships there. we can also have a taste of the most delicious halo-halo in the region - the famous DJC. (IceBlink is just a copycat).

MISIBIS BEACH. the boracay of bicol. the first island residential beach recost in bicol located in cagraray island, accessible by boat or cable car from the mainland. its a white sand beach facing the pacific ocean with hillside villas of the semi-exclusive beach club members. we can drink, dine and dance the night away in the club house.

DAY 2:

METRO GAISANO/PACIFIC MALL. the biggest and only national mall chain in the region. we will dine and shop till we drop. dont forget to bring your credit card.

ALBAY PARK AND WILDLIFE. the only wildlife reserve cum park in bicol. tiger, alligator and ostrich are some of the animals there. we can fish or go boating in the lagoon. the picnic ground awaits us.

DAY 3:
CAGSAWA RUINS. no need to elaborate. with mayon volcano in the background, its difinitely the symbol of the bicol region.

CAMALIG ALBAY. have you tasted the original PINANGAT? well, its your chance. we can make it as a sidetrip.

PEPPERLAND HOTEL. the newest hang-out place in Legazpi City. If we're lucky we can catch joey ayala or grace nono or bayang barrios performing.

if you are adventurous, we can arrange to join the mayon volcano summit summer trek. tiyak mababawasan nyan ang bilbil mo. hehehe...
